| General rules: |
 | 3rd year medical students are to study this
discipline for ONE YEAR (two semesters). |
|
 | Each semester comprises courses and practical
stages/demonstrations. |
|
 | The courses and practical stages are being programmed
differently each year as shown in the pages to follow above. |
|
| |
 | A written and a practical exam follows the second
semester at the end of the teaching year. |
|
 | Any absences at the practical stages are to
be recovered within maximum two weeks. |
|
| Important: |
 | Students should notice that this is not anymore a
pre-clinical discipline. This time they will have to do with real
patients. This means the patient is suffering and should be carefully
examined or treated after prior accepted request! |
|
 | Students are invited to follow their teaching medical
doctor at the visit and ask their questions whenever they find it
necessary. They are to perform simple medical treatment, such as
infusions and wound dressings, supervised by medical staff, whenever
possible. |
|
 | Practical stages in the operating theater occur
usually two times per semester. At this time students are to be very
careful and respect all required conditions and maneuvers to ensure
patients security. |
|
 | A lesson of personal protection for the students is
carried out at the beginning of each year. Any accident occurred after
that term is on the student's owns responsibility. |
